Today I spent four hours trying to figure out how to transfer the UI set up of a multi-tabbed quest log from one example scene to my full game. It took me that long to realize the script for the tabbed UI was calling to the wrong master quest UI script.
I also did not realize it had been four hours until it was 3:00 P.M. and I hadn’t eaten lunch or had any water to drink since that morning.
Take care of yourself I say, not doing that.
Implemented Changes
- Added new UI tabbed window to organize information. Currently includes background/memories, character relationships, and omen signs.
- Updated starting scene dialogues to reflect certain choice impacts, such as indicating which background type you have after your first major choice.
- Altered quest system to reflect these changes.
Planned for Tomorrow
- Create online presence and social media accounts
- Flesh out world and backstory of additional characters
- Figure out relationship endings in relation to the plot endings
